David out in the city of Jerusalem. Don't look for Historic accuracy. This is just for fun. One layer, Oils and AB. The face is based on that guy in StarWars. The city is a mash-up.

AT-TA, Wen, BB - Thank you so much for you comments. This is my first piece trying out a new tablet & pen. It is a "Kanvus" It has hotspots, and programmable active areas, a lg format active area of 7.25X12" The pen can be set to auto detect pressure, or a specific feel. I hadn't heard of the brand before, but, there are several out there now vying for some of Wacom's market share.

Scott, Jean - Thanks so much!
Scott - I was happy with this result. I used the blur knife to set the far fields.

Jibes - Thanks so much! You are right - the end product is what counts. BUT, as a fellow artist, you have to admit the artistic journey is also why we do it.

Deb, Kenmo, Coops - Thank you so much for the wonderful words.
Those eyes really did turn out to be rather penetrating -
When I paint people, I almost always paint them looking directly out - always a powerful effect.

Stunning eyes, as others have said. Quite beautiful work as always to expected from such a masterful artist. Your works are always inspiring.

So this is based off of that Hayden fellow?

Magen - Thank you! I love painting eyes. Yes, I think the actor's name is Hayden something.

Damasocl, GZ - Thanks! This turned out pretty well considering the use of unfamiliar equipment.
