Marvellous and slightly melancholic painting!
I don't know if You had the opportunity to enjoy her presence long enough or You even knew her, but I would join Your the great tribute to grandmoms (and grand parents in general) who were wonderful and a real blessing for me as they are now for my sons too.
Moreover the cult for and love sentiments exchanged with our dead relatives good spirits who go on loving, inspiring and helping us is quite ancient and widespread (it existed here too since ever and among the various populations of Italy from preihistoric times). It must have some ground and doesn't look contrary to the Bible insofar it has nothing to do with idolatry, so, in a pure form, I think is acceptable and even appreciated in God's will.

Dear AT, thanks so much! I was so inspired by an artist on Deviant Art by the name of Krukof2. He also shares a love for Native Americans and his artwork was so beautiful to me.

Thanks so much Cesare, I appreciate that.

Very soulful and beautiful work. Capturing the essence of the free and wild spirit has been accomplished tenfold!

I too love the feathers you've made especially. I found myself looking at them for a long time. I like to make dreamcatchers and feathers are an important part, so when I see them anywhere I always look at them. :)

Thanks so much Mags! They were very fun. I will be glad to show how I made them if you want me to.

WOW:eek: Sandra, this is a powerful bold style:D:D:D Brilliant!!! The feather detail is amazing!

Thanks so much Steve! I have been playing around with the feathers a bit and when you duplicate and enlarge it just a fraction and combine them, it gives a fuller look as well.:)
