HI,

I used several pictures for this painting. I tried to depict the rice farm children whose duty was to take care of their greatest assets, buffalos. When not in school, they normally get up real early and escorted the buffalos to a field so they can eat. After that all they have to do is relax so I depicted them bathing in a water hole full of mud.

Not long ago in NE Thailand, I saw exactly what I depicted here. Children can have fun anywhere IMO.

Done in oil, knife, airbrush, sticker spray for grass, thanks to the person who made it.

As always, any comment and advice are appreciated.:D

Jasmine, this is terrific. I can still remember the young Vietnamese kids taking the Water Buffalo out in the morning, and bringing them back in the evening..
Great job! :)

And they probably turn out to be very happy well adjusted people. Great picture of kids at carefree play.

Another nice and joyful image with people and nuture in harmony. Very beautiful and warm feeling from this painting.
... and another coincidence between Thailand and my country, where there are still places where buffalos are bred (there were sensibly more places before they drained some large coastal marshes in the XX centuries). Buffalos produce a particularly tasty milk for the real mozzarella (a fresh cheese in various shapes). There are also similar wonderful (often artisanal too) cow milk types here (now called fiordilatte, to differentiate), but they taste differently, more delicate.
