This is based on a reference pic of my wife´s mother, probably when she was around 18 in the early 1940´s. Never had the chance to know her. I did this as a Mother´s Day present for my wife. (Mother´s Day was yesterday here in Argentina.) Hope you find something of interest.

Scott that's a wonderful painting.
Reminds me so much of many of the photos of
my family members from that era.

What a wonderful tribute and touching gift of the heart. The portrait
is most elegant and beautifully painted. :)

You did a great job on this, dear Scott, for quite a number of rason and under any aspect, artistically and humanly!
I just wonder why countries don't try to agree on one common Mother's Day all over the world so as to have so many different local celebrations ... I think moms would deserve a sound, universal recognition. If only U.N. could solve this problem at least ...:D Next I would think to a universal Woman Celebration Day to focus on the lack of equal opportunities and consideration in most places and especially where actual conditions clash with their dignity!

Thanks mannafig, barnburner, AT-TA, Jasminek, steverino, Mairzie, Caesar, coops, and justjean for taking a look and for your kind comments! Even better, my wife did like it.

Caesar, as to a universal women´s celebration day, I believe March 8 is international women´s day.
