I don't know what possessed me to paint bamboo, as my knowledge of it is limited, But - Here it is. Along with various and sundry other pond things. From scratch, All Oil, One Layer.

I love Bamboo, I wish that I could manage it here, but too much already for me to take care of. Beautifully painted Skylar, love it!

L Skylar Brown,
Lush and tropical, a place that one might visit to sooth and refresh
body, mind and soul. How many ways can I say ... beautiful but ...
beautiful. Just love this! :)

I like all the varied colors in the lily pads that give it an impressionist feel. Well done Skylar.

Thank you all for the comments.

This is the first thing I tried since surgery. I don't feel it is very good, myself. There are components I like - Oddly, the Bamboo in the Bkg, & foreground are the things I like.
I'm going to redo the whole thing as soon as my level of concentration improves.

My inability to stay focused is also the reason I have been answering in an Over-View fashion, rather than addressing ea. of you individually. That will improve, I'm sure. Stay tuned!

What a relaxing painting.... I can almost hear the tinkle of the brook and the frogs croaking.... Love it....

Skylar, I did not know you were in an accident. Did you share this somewhere? If so I missed it. Hope you are well on your way to healing.

Kenmo - Thanks! I'm very happy with the bamboo.
GZ - Sorry. I had some surgery to remove some carcinomas. Just got the stitches out. All looks pretty good. Had to have another skin graft. It has distorted my features a little. The doc says that will settle down in time. Now, I have some pretty mean looking Pirate Scars.

Belv - Thanks so much for the concern. I am just fine. I still have some facial distortion around the nose area with some residual swelling, but the doc says all is going properly.
