Absolutely wonderful. Lovely and and painted with great skill. I love the way you've given the cat depth.

It would make a perfect addition to my Halloween themed bedroom decor! (I know it's weird, but I got married on Halloween, so the holiday is extra special for me. ;) )

Silvy,
Some might feel that a full moon and a black cat might have a
negative undertone but this is absolutely beautiful. The deep
Indigo blues and radiant glow of the full moon compliments the
dramatic presence of this shades of midnight feline. Deep in
thought she seems to be with those expressive eyes and no
doubt a night person just like me. The artistry is impressive,
quite captivating and how kind of you to dedicate this lovely
piece to yours truly ... a sincere thank you! :)

P.S.
I had an Irish aunt who was deathly afraid of black cats, thought
they brought bad luck  but my reaction to that way of thinking
was always "oh phooey!" She would also become unglued at the
sight of an opened umbrella in the house, also a supposed bad luck
omen. When she would come for a visit I would then occasionally
open an umbrella to it's full glory and skip past her as she screamed.
(The devil made me do it! ;)) What fun!!! :D

I state that I love black cats.
They are elegant, shiny, sinuous and the contrast with the color of their eyes, green or yellow is maginifico.

Dear Magen, many thanks for your kind comments and congratulations on upcoming wedding!:)
I think that getting married is not important when or where....strange date? Doesn't matter... LOVE♥♥ is the only thing;)

Thank you Pat, I'm glad you like it:)

Thank you Mairzie, it was a pleasure!
I know many superstitious people ....in Italy is very common: open their umbrellas at home, upset the salt, go under the stairs ...and black cat.
Unfortunately blacks cats were persecuted for this too.:(

I would like to see the fear of your aunt:rolleyes: ....very very fun!:D

Thank you for the kind words. We'll be having our 3rd anniversary this October, but we've been together for 15 years.

While mostly persecuted.... In some religions, black is a color of protection and cats were thought of as guardians that kept the 'Underworld' from rising. They would protect your soul from being taken by evil spirits.

I never understood why that color was always supposed to be evil. Lots of people wear it, even nuns and preachers. ;)

I do love this picture and agree that black cats are beautiful and lovely. I have a furry black cat in my house right now. He's the best cat and my husband calls him a "Momma's Boy" because he's always near me and will ignore anyone else if I'm nearby.

Thank you dear Katie:), I'm glad you like it

It's a pleasure Magen. My cat is a dark tortie female and she's in love with my husband. I'm the second choice, only when she's hungry or if he isn't there. But she's adorable and very clever...understand anything and sometimes responds in 'gattese' ;)

Grazie mille Cesare, sempre gentilissimo:)

Many thanks LogicsHere:)

Thank you Alexandra and many thanks for the photo. I'll do a portrait of Salem soon. He's very fascinating....bewitched by his eyes:eek::)

Thank you very much Jasminek:) and Belvrog:) for your kind replies
