Already, in itself, to me this initial sketch and is an excellent work ...
The pencil strokes are extraordinary ...

Desde ya, de por sí, para mí este boceto inicial es un excelente trabajo...
Los trazos a lápiz son extraordinarios...

09-04-2010, 06:15 AM
thanks AT-TA Mfigg lad u like the girls

there a lot of hair I thought bamboo was hard but I dunno

09-04-2010, 12:54 PM
Yeah, my Kayla has lots of hair. She's naturally that curly and it's down past her waist now. Looks good so far though.

09-04-2010, 06:27 PM
Hi Mags whats bothering me at the moment where the red or pink in there hair is coming from??? as the base colour was just a slight pink as u can see from there dress, the pink above their heads I added since ok any thought's about it?? :D:D:D:D:D:D:D-------E/S

09-05-2010, 07:29 AM
a we bit more

09-05-2010, 01:19 PM
I think it's just not a great scan of the picture. Aunties never get the good big pictures... :( Also could be the backing of the pink outfits, like you said.

They have brown hair, slightly gold highlights. Still looking real good. The right cheek on both girls seems a touch off, seem a little too square...

but that could just be my eyes. Been a rough month and an even rougher week with grandpa in the hospital.

09-05-2010, 07:55 PM
thanks Mags u were'nt much help with your conclusions :D when u say right cheeks u mean our right as we look at them yes u may notice the drawing lines are there as they are not fin yet as I've been concentrating souly on the hair which is more or less fin Je' espere' OK

09-06-2010, 06:34 AM
yeah, I meant as we look at em. Sorry bout that. I know you're not finished. They'll be perfect when you're done. ;)

09-06-2010, 09:31 AM

a touch more

09-20-2010, 05:25 AM
Hi not sure about the hair colour???????

09-20-2010, 06:34 AM
Looks wonderful. The hair might need a little more definition, the tone is good for the highlights, I would maybe add some darker shades in a few areas to try to help.

Just a suggestion though. I love what you've done so far. :D

09-21-2010, 01:38 AM
what do u think Mags ????

09-21-2010, 04:23 AM
Hi Eighty as a suggestion regarding the hair you could try the Air brush on about 50% or less opacity to add some darker shadows closer to the neck and lightly where shadows would be.
Otherwise a lovely painting of two adorable looking girls:):)

I hope you don't mind I done a quick example for you.:)

09-21-2010, 06:30 AM
Mfig thank you I'm always happy with help but I'll wait to Lady Mags has her say before doing anything OK

09-21-2010, 06:48 AM
You're on the right track there. Mannafig is excellent at portraits and her suggestion is good and I think is a better explanation of what I was trying to say. Feel free to keep messing around E. I think it's wonderful to see my nieces painted so well. :)

09-21-2010, 08:01 AM
Awww shucks Magen you'll make my head swell:o:o.Thanks for the compliment:):)
