Done in oil and knife, Deserted now, but at one time this was a home to a family, took this pic of the house the other day when my husband and I were out for a drive, love to look around for old buildings to paint. I added the old van and overgrown grass and added the trees to make it more interesting, hope you like it

Thankyou so much Oriane and Amanda, could you please tell me if the old van should be smaller, Im not to good on judging what size some objects should be

I like the painting Pat but don't like the idea of deserted homes!
Nice overall painting.:)

I love old homes. Each one of them seems to be straining to tell all the stories it knows about it's occupants over the years.
I like this a lot Pat. My estimation is that the van
probably should be somewhat smaller to be in
perspective with the house.
Nice job. :)

Thankyou Jasmine, I know it is sad when you see a deserted home and there are a lot in this area
Barnburner, I thank you so much for your comment, I needed to know that and will work on that area of my paintings, very much appreciated:):):)

Just about missed this. Great work. Lovely colors and great skills. Can feel the slight loneliness of the house. Something that isn't very easy to portray in an object. Very good stuff. I enjoy old houses and things like this. ;)

Nice idea, nice painting Pat. As barney says: try to park the van under the windows of the house... how tall the car would be, where it would reach...this kind of things i am asking myself when painting something i do not know how large and tall they should be.

Pat - for what it's worth. When I have something that I'm unsure of the size - I put it on a separate layer. Then you can use the transform function and
resize and move it until you are satisfied with it.
