View Full Version : The Painted Note

As many know, I am fascinated by the convergence of art and music.

About a year ago I registered the URL www.thepaintednote.com (http://www.thepaintednote.com) and began collecting items of interest pertaining to the intersection of the two art forms, with the idea of creating an online Blog/gallery.

It will primarily focus on artwork that has music as its subject, but I can also see including related branches including artwork by musicians, music about art and album art, musical art history, music festival posters, videos, film and animation that combine art and music and more.

The blog is now live. Though there are but two posts visible at the moment (both with my work), I have prewritten and scheduled enough posts for a new one to go up about every other day through the end of October with MANY more topics yet to hit. Posts will cover everything from Picasso to Paganini and Klee to Mika.

I hope some of you will drop by for a visit on occasion.

Love it Al, bright with your trademark outstanding colour. Composition is wonderful with the strong diagonal. Who would have thought that piano keys could look so good :):)

"The Painted Note" is an exuberantly expressed symphony of aesthetic
notes, played across the canvas with irresistible tonality and the melody
heard is of course, my favorite song. Vibrant, symbolic, moving and oh,
what would the world be like without music! :)

Thank you all for the kind words and encouragement -- I have not had a lot of time lately and I've been absorbed in creating www.thepaintednote.com (http://www.thepaintednote.com) blog. I promise to spend more time with all of you and your work after the summer crazy season passes!
