Seems to be a moody place where there might be a fable or two
to tell as related by the village elders who well know the history
of the area. And could the sinking tree trunk, the focus of the
painting be gasping it's last breath? The branch protruding from
the top seems to be lifting it's symbolic head and arms skyward
in a desperate and final plea for help. Beautifuly painted and the
muted, misty colors add to the interest and intrigue of the piece. :)

Dear Josephine, this log has so much detail on it that could be a photograph. Well done.:)
