Trawlermans wife waits at the quayside, there has been a storm at sea and the vessel is late returning........more for expression than detail in this one,it was part of a much larger picture but I didnt like the rest of it much so I cropped it down because I think I got the expession about right??not very detailed, did mostly with the airbrush and the variuos pallette knives, its blurred because I enlarged the bit left and it was pixelating like mad so I blurred it on purpose so it doesnt show tooooooo much, hope it still comes over ok....Jack.

This is very good. I like the texture Jack. It sort of looks like a statue, or a bust. Nice work!

Have to love this Jack. Her expression speaks of a hard life, but her face is still so lovely and she is lonely for her husband and has been burdened with this worry many times. That is what I see in your lovely painting. Wonderful work!

Jack, you paint seascapes and ships, and they are beyond compare.. However when you painted this woman it had to come from the heart..
It just says something.. Hats off to ya Jack..

It's hard to imagine how this could have been done any better, Jack. The emotional content is stunning. In this case, the eyes have it, so to speak. For any caring father in the world, this speaks volumes about how we never want our daughters to feel.

Celebrate the artist that can entrance the viewer with only a silent
expression. "Still She Waits" drives the mood with mesmerzing, soulful
eyes. Her lips are closed but that face, that woeful face writes a
despairing sonnet that captures the very soul. Unbelievably touching
and spellbinding artistry. Excellent piece! :)
