On the motives of one beautiful poem taking place in May and dealing with a girl and a poet's/ K.H.Macha/feelings towards her. Poem, called May, was translated into 400 languages. I just done all out of my head... torturing my brain to paint without ref pics. It was fun and i think i am happy with it.

The painting is wonderful as I guess the lyric of this Romatic poet is too, but I couldn't find it in Italian this far.
Have You got the text translated in either English, French or even in German in the worst case pls?

I remember up to now how we had to learn the poem in a school. That was my nightmare. The picture is beautiful, you have a nice style paintings.

LOL :p Dear Tom, I remember with pleasure instead and I can still repeat quite a number of poetries and verses of my schooltime, obviously in Italian and Latin in my case and from quite a number of ages and different centuries, even with the relevant literary languages forms evolutions.
Well, maybe I'm a little perverted, but it's still such a pleasure to deal with the greatestclassical ones ... pure feelings, high thoughts and marvellous music of words compositions!
Obviously there are for sure boring pieces and poets in the literature which we feel are not eternal and universal enough to match present times, I may agree on this ....;):)

Another great painting with a pinch of Chagall thrown in. (just need to have one of them floating in the sky....)

I am happy that I did not miss this most touching piece. Am not
familiar with the mentioned poem but in this case, after viewing
the silent only in words but expressively romantic,"May," I somehow
feel that I have read the poem with my eyes and ... what a heart
rendering love story it is. A classic beauty of a painting. :)
