View Full Version : The Lands of Cochise

This is an old one that I've been meaning to touch up, and finally got around to it.

A symbolic tribute to the skill and courage of the great Apache chief, Cochise. For 10 years he fought the U.S. Cavalry and beat them at every turn, as he pretty much controlled the southwest.
Cochise never surrendered, and signed, and lived up to, a peace treaty - on his terms.

Great painting, barnburner! Love the texture. Is that metallic glitter you used?

Have always had a personal, esteemed connection with our "original" Americans.
The relationship may be due in part to growing up in Pennsylvania, having a rich
and noble history of these amazing people. A most beautiful painting and
touching tribute! :)

Scott - Yes sir - Metallic Glitter. I've found that the glitter tool is really pretty versatile. I rarely do a painting that I don't find a use for it somewhere.
Thank you very much. :):)

Mairzie - Many thanks for your kind words.
I appreciate it very much. :):)
