sorry the one with the horse whilst viewing to attach; I noticed that the picture was sideways so i turned it to put it right, which seams to have caused it to fail??? tried again this morning but no luck, does this mean that this picture is blocked for ever or is there an answer :confused::confused::confused::confused:

In my humble opinion you can't go wrong by copying The Masters.Your copies of Lautrec are good. You obviously did them on pastel paper and scanned them. You should try some on Artrage---not nearly as messy as real life pastels !!??
By the way I originate from along the coast---Weymouth

hi Franc E.B.A Dorsit Boy then :D copy's that's why i put them in thinking I'd get a lot of sarcastic remarks about copying but so far nothing u are the 1st to mention it  when 1st started drawing 20 year's ago I did'nt know it was like a dirty word to copy but thats all I could see, in book's, still don't know how I done them, I don't think I could do them again !! charcoal/ conte white/ pastel and as u said pastel paper I'm at loss what u mean scanning do u mean photo as that what i've just done to post them the hardest to do was van gogh irises all the leaves made the head swirl unless he was sitting on my shoulder,:( but I agree with u that it good pratice to copy the old Master's and reading up on them they all done it. north island u should be so lucky its the in place for artist's regards E+ ( O P)

E, your copies are fantastic:eek:. If you did freehand sketches and then painted them, wow, this is simply spectacular. Then, good to see these pictures again. Please post all your freehand drawings and paintings , Your paintings make us travel in time. Simply breathtaking.
