Dear Jo, I am so flattered, thank you kind lady! I used dry on wet and low blending water color on this one. I also used the gloop a lot in this one. Every one is different for me-I hate to say this, but it depends on my mood when I make a painting! I love the watercolor tools so much though. They are so versatile. Sometimes I love to use the watercolor brush, with 0% liquid-because it makes an instant outline and is great when I duplicate an object. It seems to be rich and delicate at the same time.:)

Lando, Thanks ever so much!:)

great work, his paintings with the glop are quite interesting (I'd like to learn from his technique, I try it, but can not get the effect I fill):):)

Dear Amanda and Javier, Thanks so much!

Javier, keep playing around with it. When I am drawing with it, I do not lift the pen for each part of the item I am painting. You can then apply the water color over it with a lot of liquid and let the color bleed. Sometimes I like to apply the watercolor first, and then gloop over it and make a new layer and add the dry watercolor to it. Combine and use knife to blend or add more texture.:)

I like your hummingbirds. They're very pretty.

I saw this outside my window the other day and thought, "Nature made an Alexandra painting for me." Thought I would share.

ps. if you look inside... there's a nest in there.

Magen, This is one of the most wonderful things anyone could have ever said to me! Thank you so much! I love your photograph of your beautiful tree also. Is this a snowball variety? I have one that is six feet tall now, and I adore its beautiful blooms and leaves. I just wish that they would last longer. They have already bloomed here in the south.
The little nest is so precious too! I love our hummingbirds! Last summer they would land on my shoulders when I would bring them the sugar water. We have so many and they are such a joy to have around us. They are like little fairies. Thanks again Dear Magen!:)

Al, Thank you very much for your wonderful comment. So happy to see you back again.:)

Not sure what type of bush it is, but I have a constant view of it from my window. :D It's in the neighbor's yard and hits the top corner of that house.

My dad has a family of hummingbirds that come back to his house every year and they bring their babies. They are really neat. Nature is a wonderful thing when you can be a part of something magical like that.
