Added a second version -- maybe its too obvious, but I had the idea -- which do you like?
Jeff Beck has been described in Rolling Stone Magazine as "one of the most influential lead guitarists in rock" His commercial success peaked in the mid 1970s with the release of his masterpiece "Blow by Blow". (http://www.amazon.com/Blow-Jeff-Beck/dp/B00005AREQ/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1271813720&sr=8-11)
Even more awesome (to me) is what he is capable of today, after a few more decades of refining his technique. A fine example of his abilities can be seen in this clip of him performing "Somewhere over the Rainbow" live (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgGvml0cOKA&feature=related). (The phrasing he employs at about 1:35 in this clip brings tears to my eyes.) The clip is the inspiration for this painting.
