I was so pleased with the first one, I decided to do a companion piece - An earlier, happier time.

Love the car again, is there someone in there?

I still get the feeling you're down the road from where my granny grew up. :)

What an incredible painting you have here, Skylar! This scene can be placed into any small town across America and everyone would get such a warm and welcoming feeling. It is one that brings back fond memories and simple times.

I have to agree Skylar, the work you are posting is better each time! You are also showing such wisdom and taste in choosing the subdued pallet to reinforce the overall feeling of a bygone era -- kind of like the time and distance has added a sepia tone colorization to the eyes of memory.

Coops, Magen, Eileen, Lando, Jo, Al - Thank you all for your responses. I am happy you are touched by this piece. There is certainly a lot of my personal nostalgic memories injected into it, tho, as Eileen points out, it is "Americana Generalise". Most of us have memories that could be evoked by this setting. For me, this conjures my Grandparent's place & my own childhood.
