Painted without lines - letting only contrasting light-dark, warm-cool define the shapes. Oil & Airbrush. Limited palette.

Beautiful flower Skylar, I feel if I touch it, it will dissolve and return to ribbons of colours . :)

Wonderful rose:):), agree with Katie, few colors and simple shape suggest the fragility of the flower. I love it

D - What do you mean "Women will love it" I created it, I'm a dude, I Love It! (Pullin' your leg, pal) Thanks!!!
Coops - "return to ribbons of color" - what a nice turn of a phrase! Thank you.
Silvy - Thank you. The only problem with experimenting with a technique is I may never strike this kind of balance again!

I feel like I'm seeing it through an old time soft focus lens from a 1940s movie -- you know where they coat the lens with a bit of Vaseline to blur the edges during closeups of the starlets. This flower is like feeling velvet with your eyes Sky. Nice!

Peter - Thanks, My Friend!
Jean - (That's close to home, but) Thanks. A wonderful word image, anyway.
Oriane - Thank you so much, Amigo.
Al - "Feeling Velvet with your eyes" - You do wax poetic!
Val - Thaks very much. I am happy you like it!

I saw "butter and cream" and thought buttercream - then I looked and it is indeed yummy. Beautiful, but for some reason I want cake. :-)

Annie - Thanks so much! I didn't name it until after I finished - That's when it reminded me of those butter cream flowers you see on Wedding cakes - So you are spot-On!
