Well Ms. Coops, I have not read "The Mists of Avalon", but this painting places it somewhere thereabouts, I would say.

It very much feels as if Maab or Merlin or somebody at the beck and call of the artist, Lady Coops herself -- somebody deep in natural magic is doing a bit of conjuring. . . the entire sky being a palette preparing a magical rain to fall upon the realm, bringing a special kind of life to the land. Let there be color!
