Thanks so much dear Oriane, :)I am not sure if this one ok as I sketched her from a book I was reading and then played around with AR. I dont want to infringe on anything.

She is an artform, Ms. Coops. Is she not? The image is rich.

Smoke rising off an ember, and the inspiration drawn from nature, translated into the dance of the geisha.

Were I to run with the image as being from bygone days in a movie Memoirs of a Geisha, the subtle allusion is made to the dynamic contact between ancient Japan and the advent of the modern, a cigarette at the time meaning a luxury and status, perhaps power, the gentleman before whom she performs her artistry, the emotive and articulate feminine downcast eyes, the romantic fragrance. . .

I happily quit smoking long ago, but one of the things I recall most is, in a quiet room, watching the smoke rising in graceful curves, a private performance of the dance. This image, although grandly romantic, reminds me a little of where the mind might drift off to at such times. I mean, look even to Europe at some of the forms of Alfonse Mucha and Art Noveau. Smoke rising from a cigarette. Artists seem to run with these sorts of things.

Dear Mr Akey, you have a wonderful insight which I envy. Artform yes. Thank you so much for your wonderful painting with words.:)

The way that you are constantly willing to challenge yourself is commendable, especially in light of the fact that you always seem to accomplish it admirably.
