Wikiversity has a free lesson in thumbnail storyboarding for young filmmakers. Students are encourged to use ArtRage to do their lessons. However, the sample thumbnail storyboards are all done with Photoshop by someone with absolutely no artistic talent. If you can, please look at the lessons and try completing the lesson with ArtRage. This will give students examples of thumbnail storyboards done with ArtRage. The lesson starts at http://en.wikiversity.org/wiki/Lesson:Thumbnail_Storyboard .

The Thumbnail Storyboard Project is new. Therefore, it will be helpful if you tell me what you think of this idea. (Is ArtRage 2 a good tool for creating thumbnail storyboards for motion pictures?)

If you can, please send me one or more thumbnail storyboard frames for our tiny motion picture done with ArtRage 2. That will help!

Thanks Robert. Edit the earlier post. I understand that idea now.

I will explain more. Thumbnail storyboard are pictures of what a motion picture will look like. These tiny pictures are our plans for filming our motion picture.

1. We have a short script at http://en.wikiversity.org/wiki/The_Unformatted_Script

2. We have examples of thumbnail storyboards at http://en.wikiversity.org/wiki/Storyboard_Examples

3. We have lots of thumbnail storyboards at http://en.wikiversity.org/wiki/All_Storyboard_Frames

Now we need people to draw their own thumbnail storyboards for this motion picture using ArtRage 2. Thumbnail storyboard frames should be 160 by 90 pixels or 320 by 180 pixels. Your thumbnail storyboards must explain how we will film the motion picture.

To start, show me the first three frames of the movie. How would you start this movie?
