Don't know if anyone hear has read Neil Gaiman's Stardust (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stardust_%28novel%29)....I love his writing and finally got around to reading this one. Finished it this morning and absolutely loved it. The movie's pretty good, too, if you ever get a chance to see it.
Anyway, The Star is a character in the book and this is my first attempt with the chalk tool in ArtRage 3. I'm not one to challenge myself with figures, so this was quite a stretch for me. Not at all a bad way to spend a slow, rainy morning.

The style and the figures are so delighfully and delicately evocated in their colours and light spots! I'm not familiar with Your inspirational book, but I'm grateful to it and its author!

I can almost smell the pastel dust. Bright feeling. Has a bit of a feel like a very quick Degas using Mary Cassat's palette. Love it. :):):):):)

Caesar, if you like a good fairy tale, it's a great story....
Alexandra, Evelynn, Val, Katie, Byron...glad you like it and thanks for the good words.
Amanda and Delirium, Gaiman's work is popular enough, even here in the States, that I thought somebody else here would be familiar with it. It's always good to find other people with similar interests!
And D, now you've made me want to sneeze when I look at it, imagining the dust! Hah!
