You should be very pleased with this one Paul, I think the way you have painted branches at the bottom the of painting is great. As if they were following her up the steps.:)

On the contrary, I'd say. It's a quite intruiging style and I think You worked on selection, filling and or some particular blending.
Absolutely interesting and promising path!

This could be a book cover for a gothic romance, or mystery. Nice job!

I hope that if I say I find it strange, dreamlike and disorienting, that you will take that for the compliment that I intend it to be. The disorienting part, and I like it, again, is that the handrail running beside her seems way too big for her size. For me, this makes her look oddly small and is a bit jolting. It wakes you to the realization, at first not apparent, that things are not normal in what you are seeing.
Then the branches coming up and sort of melding with that dreamlike dress adds another odd factor.
I do not know what you intended it to be, but for me, it is a surreal image that draws you in. Does not happen all that often, you have managed it here though. Good job!

Love your style Paul. This one is really gothic feeling to me. Like Scarlett O'Hara is fearful that it's already another day and dawn is coming. . .

Yeah, ever since Anne Rice and New Orleans, the South rises again at every nightfall.

I really like the look. very graphic novel. I would buy it based on the pictures alone.
