This is another of my music posters. I liked my last venture and thought I´d keep at it for a bit. Not completely satisfied with this one, but here it is. (Just squint a bit). :) If you find the commentary and the music links irritating, just let me know.

Tish Hinojosa, born and raised in San Antonio, TX, is the daughter of Mexican immigrants—the youngest of 13 children. I figure most of you don´t know her, except for maybe Sklyar, a Texas boy . She´s a Tejana folk singer who moves between English and Spanish in her lyrics. Some of her music is very political (e.g., dealing with the life of migrant farm workers), some is just good country/folk. One of her best Spanish-language albums is Sońar del laberinto (Dreaming from the labyrinth).

I include a few links below if you´re interested.

“Manos y huesos y sangre” (a great piece about Frida Kahlo and about art in general)

Interesting and very effective style how to bring the attention to the poster. Very lovely and her singing is really comming from her heart and her soul. Thanks letting her known to us. Love the spanish and am learning it also...but...laziness many times overtakes me... uhm....:)

Thanks for the links. I did not know of this artist. I liked her tribute to Frida.
Your picture is great too. Her eyes maybe darker but still I like the music series you are doing. It seems to capture the essence of the stage light.

I think Albert's right about the stage light.....this does indeed capture the warmth and drama of the spotlight.
On another note, I'd never heard of Trish and appreciate the links. What a voice! Beautiful.....
