hi, greetings to all..:), Sharing, "Tavern's Shades". its a breathtaking and a nice, cozy spot at the project site im working on. refs i consulted, were from life (on visits), sketches and snaps, initial layouting was done studying and watching few shots. though ive kept things as they are, but i did introduce things that are not there and i've played with some parts, colors and light/shadows, as per my liking.
artrage, painter and photoshop - tablet.

i hope everyone is doing well..:). feels great being here after some gap, little occupied, a lot is going on around me these days.

best.

I can hardly believe You may improve, since Your level seems to be already on top, but it still seems to me that each marvel Your share is even better than the last one which kept my mouth open ....

Welcome back Waheed!

This is very successful indeed. In addition to how well the sense of space works, I personally love that tree on the right. It's uncommon, more eye catching than a generic tree with a single trunk that I'm used to seeing in pictures. It has a lot more visual interest with all the parallel vertical lines.

Since the species is not very common around where I live, it carries a regional flavor. I would expect to see something like this around India or Burma or so on. But I could well be wrong.

Anyway, owing to the volume of it, it appears old and gives this building a particular flavor that is in harmony with nature. And the dappled light that is hitting the facade further suggests the scale of the vegetation and weaving of building and plants that give it a distinct old world artsy flavor. Even a little modern day elven. Just my fanciful impression.

I would think Architects would love what you bring to displaying the color of their work. You 'root' their buildings in an environment.

Cool.

Fantastic painting waheed. You perfectly caught the light shining through the treetops, love it as well as all these neat little details like the reflections in the windows of the tavern.:)
Good to see you are still around and drop in from time to time. Best wishes mate.

dear friends, coops, uuderzo, andrea, mannafig, ceasar, alexandra, weeks, kev2grey, barnburner, d akey, enchanter, jibes, belvrog, orianelima, byroncallas, rob in denver, scottf, sketchism71, peter, firefytingnut, eileen724 and lee, thank you so much all of you for paying a visit and for the lovely compliments you all have given..:).

d akey, that analysis is interesting, really. and u are right about kind of tree seen in areas of sub-continent and pakistan is right there too, we do have the type of trees here, that are way too old and look so very interesting, i love that. there is so much to see and i love to sketch/draw and paint them.
this place is a part of our project that im working on, the place is being built as a food resort, a big place to enjoy food and shopping. it has many more interesting spots with varied flavours. let it come to a finishing stage and ill be sharing more news about it. u are all very welcome to visit once it gets inaugurated. im sure you are all going to love the place.
this tavern carries a romantic, artistic flavour, we didnt removed this tree as it adds such a beauty and dynamism to the structure, it actually enhances the mood of the place. a perfect match. it definitely takes u back in history..:).
let me share an old work, a drawing i did using tablet in painter. i hope u find interesting as well. almost similar appearance. shows my love for nature and history..:). ive kept my approach here very traditional.

i once again thank everyone for taking the time to share their kind words and its feels great to get admired by good artists.

im sorry i get busy at times and cant manage to drop in regularly, plus i feel more comfortable sharing the work here that i do using artrage, all artrage or whenever i inco operate it with other softwares.
i might share my work done in photoshop and painter in the thread of mine, Serenity - By the river, in the Ambient Spotlight section. i do that at times but i dont feel that easy as they are just done in other softwares without using artrage.

:).

cheers all.
