At the risk of asking a stupid question: is this real oils/knife, or in Artrage? It's a great painting, especially how textural it is!

I'm in awe in front of such a fabulous painting, dear AT-TA! You're absolutely great! Your impasti colours, textures are superb and the portraid or imaginary girl has charm of an ancient pagan goddess!
Another really moving hymn to the beauty and the youth.
Since You probably know some Italian (having been here) here's fitting short lyrics:

Quant' bella giovinezza
che s'en fugge tuttavia,
chi vuol esser lieto sia,
del doman non v' certezza.

Lorenzo il Magnifico (Lawrence the Magnificent)

Hello and welcome to AR, LPBaker. And thank you for your kind words.
The whole picture is done in Art Rage. Oil brushes, tube and knife.

Also to you, mannafig and coops. So kind from you, commenting so nicely on this little work. You must know by now that i love to paint faces, especially the children's...love that innocence in them, they remind me of flowers in the garden, they grow, they bloom and then... you know what happens... such a short time it all takes and then... the wind of knowledge blows in that garden, where theywere growing...and blows it all off, far away...:-)

P.S. Shouldn't read that art debate in another threat... that deals about art.. what it is... go and read and participate also..:-)

This is just so beautiful and so endearing, AT-TA! I love your splash of colors especially with the background. With all those colors and the wonderful paint textures adds so much emotion to this gorgeous piece. I'm so glad you love to paint faces because you do it so well and with so much feeling...for each and every brush stroke!

This painting is so fantastic! It is like I have a second set of eyes -- one is seeing the image of the girl and the other sees the strokes and dabs of paint on the "canvas."

Oh, AT-TA.....this could easily be one of my favourite things I've ever seen posted on the forum since I joined. It is a celebration...

Very fine tone. Love the painterly quality. It really works well. And the lighting that you manage amidst the thick paint is pretty remarkable. Some paintings you would just love to see with more optimal dpi resolution and this is one, so as to really enjoy the artistry in full. Such a good painting.

I love your technique, textures and use of color. You excel.

Thank you Paul, Scott,Sketch and weeks. I am glad you liked her, i learned a lot in this group and because i like textures i observed and watched Orinane's style and followed his sharing threads..... thank you Oriane once more...:) i finaly could paint a pic like this. There is just one layer, no filters.. but colors, sweat and brushes.

Wish you happy painting. :)
