View Full Version : Girl Washing Hair in a Pond.

02-18-2010, 10:52 AM
If anyone deems this inappropriate for this gallery say so; I'll post it to After'9.

A redhaired girl washing hair in a small pond.
It started with a small sketch of a contorted pose and as usual I got ambitious
In the end I got a little tired of going at details...so I am considering it finished...
All on one layer (except for the initial sketch) and for those that it matters- no references what so ever.

Goldang it!!!!! She's done clogged the drain with that long hair. Backed up the whole Amazon. . .again. . . washing that man right out of her hair. . .

Gorgeous, and so glad I stumbled onto this image. Very pre-Raphaelite. What ya want to bet she's got her sword and armor just to the side in the grass, to ward off poor unsuspecting gentlemen knights who mayhaps inadvertently splash to the rescue, braving rust and soggy boggy egos and stuff. . .

Fantastic I love that red hair:):)

Well done Fly. But, no pun intended, that rock looks rough.:o

A discretely beautiful presentation. I doubt anyone will complain.

Fly this is excellent... and to draw a figure in this pose without a ref... that is really hard...and you've done so well. Interesting scene... especially for men..:-) i like it very much and do not mind that it is not finished in details...i know that you will get back to it anyway...:)

Maybe it doesn't need the details? It leaves room for imagination as it is.
I love the shade of her hair.......perfect.

Very beautiful Fly. Beautiful is the word. :)

Very well done and I know what you mean about getting tired of adding more detail.
I would like to see more contrast though. I think the gal looks a little washed out. Contrast would be an easy adjustment.
You do an excellent figure!

Awesome imaginary image Fly! What a dreamy look this has. I love the purple hue in the skin tone, gives it a fantasy feel. The reflections are awesome as well! Too Cool Fly!!!:D:D:D

Dear Fly, a painting very well done and tuned with my preferred genres. Great demonstration of talent and imagination, mastery with human figures proportion.

wow what a stunning painting! Beautiful!

It's said that red haired girls are more aggressive than others, which is in contrast with your painting :). I wish I were a little fish in the pond :D.

who said blondes are more fun!

Awesome painting. Definitely one of my favorites of yours Fly. The posture is well done and in combination with the low perspective and the intense colors it works just great.
