Still trying to get the hang of the water colours... Hmmm this one ended up with glitter, paint tube and knife as well...... They may call me a paint tart.... but at least they call me!!

Reminds me a bit of a lithograph print as artistic types explored that process and the results. Looks a bit like I can see a lithographer's pencil/crayon type of marks, with a little ink bleed from those marks, and then the tonal thing with the color.

I really like the direction.

Fraser, I REALLY like this. So many of the landscapes posted here take me back to my college days when I lived in New Mexico. There is an area west of Albuquerque called El Malpais National Park (http://www.nps.gov/elma/photosmultimedia/photogallery.htm?eid=406777&root_aId=621#e_406777) where I used to go Lava Tubing (caving). This takes me right back!

You may be a tart, but your art isn't tarty, nice work.

This could easily be an ink-and-wash illustration. I don't know what you were shooting for, but what you got really works.

Seems that many are fiddling about with watercolors these days! Keep fiddling--the mixture of media works very well here!
