This is nice to look at. Very pleasant. Maybe I'd like it more if the dancer's contour would not be smoothed but defined by the flowers.

Very cool; alive and full of motion.

Clever Ms Coops!

Remember the old trick in art class where one would cover a paper with random or not so random crayon markings and then the whole thing would be covered with black India ink? And then one would use it as a colorful scratch board where you would scratch off the black and leave in its trail the bright color of the crayon on white.

It's one of the most memorable visuals from my early childhood art periods in school. I was disappointed when we never did it again.

I've seen the style used in commercial art, mostly with graphic design, and it really made type and logos eye-catching when done with split fountain ink against the black.

Anyway, this pops like that did. Only the mosaic quality lends this dancing figure a distinct quality. It's as if the solidity of the 'squares' and the fluidity of the dancer's movement are drawing a comparison that is saying something about both. So the color bits is more like a particular description that shows range, and possibly a wide repertoire. I could see something like this being a cool image for a dance theater schedule or something.

Dazzling and a great springboard for further exploration if it interests you. :):):)

. . .and I did enjoy reading about your childhood. lol:)

Yeah, I guess ya had to be there Ms Coops. . . hahaha. Hey, I do with my childhood what you do with this pic technique -- I diddle with the flowery parts and black out on the rest. Makes for some pretty interesting poses, I daresay.
