Hi, I am a fan of Art Rage since version 1 and used it in many projects since, but just today I decided to check out the forum. To my suprise I couldn't find many people here who are using the crayon tool to good use.

So I thought it might be interesting to share some illustrations I've done in Art Rage lately. :)

Oh, these are all just marvelous! I'm not even sure I could pick a favourite if I tried. The mouse and the snail and the sheep are all too cute. And I love the idea of a snail puttering around in its house and occasionally sticking its head out the window! =] Thanks for sharing these, and welcome to the forums! I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Wow, Nice work bakenius! Really well textured. I think I like the last one best. You brought the sheep alive with your strokes and warm color. It's fantastic that you combined crayon with oil, and make a natural textured look.

Since people seem really interested in it, here's a fragment of how I brought these animals to life in Moho. :)

Beautiful paintings and animations, I'm really glad you decided to show your skills as a painter and animator, I love them, as Sweedie say's, artrage and moho indeed fits well together. :D

These are really nice pictures and animations. You wouldn't mind sharing your animation techniques would you? I have Moho, and I am purchasing Artrage. They seem to make a great combination for simple animations such as these. When I say simple, I mean easy to look at for younger children for example. I am interested in how much work it was to animate these. Anyway, great work!!

Looking forward to more. Please?!!! :D

Perhaps you have something on the Moho forum?

@Merchen

In total I spend over a month on this animation (not just the animals but also on everything around it - it's about a little boy that is collecting money to help animals in the cold) First I start to draw every scene in ArtRage, then I export it to Photoshop to compile the characters and scenery, then export every part as an .png to Moho where I rig the characters for animation. Some effects though, like the snow, I've done with Adobe After Effects.

Here are some more images from this animation, you can see how I use Photoshop to make sharp selections using the pen tool to get a cut-out look. It about 160 hours to complete, but it's been worth it. :)

I can only humbly echo the comments that have preceded my own. Even if I didn't like the style I'd have to say that your work is technically brilliant, but I absolutely love the style as well, which just makes every post so much more of a treat. =]

Hi Guys!

It's been a while hasn't it? I'm happy to be able to post the first out of two animations I made earlier this year with all artwork done in ArtRage :)

1:39 - 6,3 MB (http://student-kmt.hku.nl/~leo1/Spunky/dieren_med.wmv)

The Lyrics are all in Dutch, so you probably won't understand a word of it, but it's basically a kid asking for money to help the animals in the cold. It's still interesting to look at the visuals right?

I hope to post the fun fair one as well some time next week.
