Hello everyone. It's been a while since I have posted anything. I just want to say that I have been browsing every now and then, though, and I'm enjoying seeing what everyone is doing with the new tools. This forum holds some great talent!

I have been spending most of my art time lately in the world of acrylics, but I decided to use ArtRage to do a quick sketch of my next piece to see if I could find colors that I like. I need to fix the curl of the petal, I know, but I think the overall color scheme works for me. I will eventually do this as a 12x12 inch acrylic piece in a bit more detail.

I'd appreciate opinions on the background. I'm struggling with the decision to leave it white or try to do something with it. I want simple, I just can't make up my mind if white is too simple.

I love the new ArtRage, By the way! :)

I relly like the sketch you've done. I think white with a random pattern of offwhite would be a great accent for the background.

I justed took a quick tour of your Artrage gallery on your website. I love your style. The portrait of Chloe and the cats eyes are my favorites.

Your work is beautiful and the white back ground works fine. You might also consider something like this: (apologies for screen capping your image and altering it -- just the fastest way for me to show my suggestion)

Thanks for the kind comments everyone. You are all very flattering.

PWQuack, Thanks for your kind comments about my sketch and my gallery. You have also presented a good idea, I might play around with it and see what I can come up with.

alkratzer...I like that thought too. It's still nice and soft so as to not distract too much from the flower.

So, I have two great ideas to experiment with. :) Thanks...now to the "drawing board."
