Hi everyone. I want to introduce to you my newest poem, and the drawing that go along with it, titled "Haiti Cry."
I hope you all like it :)

Haiti cry...why Lord why!
Babies scared and hungry,
Why us Lord, why?
Thousands lay dead on the streets.
Those who are alive, don't have water nor food to eat.
Haiti cry...why Lord why?
Help is on its way,
the hopeful Haitian people, continue to pray.
Haiti cry...why Lord why?
God answered the prayers of the Haitians.
What they didn't have before, they now have an abundant.
Natural disasters happen all over the world everyday,
and human beings spring into action to help, without delay.
Haitians are strong, and they will bounce back.
The rebuilding of Haiti may take years, to get back on track.
The cries will turn into smiles as the people work together,
to help build a supporting government they can count on forever.
Haiti cry...thank you God, and thank you all who have helped us!

Absolutely compelling and thought provoking, Evart....this is a beautiful tribute to the Haitian people. It's incredibly moving and your painting of the young Haitian girl crying speaks volumes.

Nice tribute to the Haitian people Evart and the girl you've painted is the embodiment of unspeakable pain and desperation...we will never understand why... why there must be cruelty in life included...so sorry for them...

The most dramatic image, a crying girl, and the most moving verses to express desperation and hope ...:(
Dear Evart, a great entry from any standpoint!
Thanks for reminding us once more Haiti's tragedy we are following everyday in so many painful images and may our Lord take with Him the dead people and comfort soon the survivors with the help of every nation and person of goo will.
