Thank you all very much for the nice comments.. Caesar, I think it might be a reference from off of a bottle.. Looks very much like it.. I found it on the web, so there is no telling just where it came from.. However, it struck my fancy, so I thought I would give it a go..

Rick
I'm pretty new to the forum and ArtRage but I think your work is very good. I particularly like your choice of palettes.

AS always excellent work! I think you could sell this one, someone in the olive business could surely use it in some way. Hope that doesn't sound too commercial!Because it obviously stands on its own as something to be hung beautifully on a wall as artwork! No reason it could not do both!

Thank you all very much... Time to kill this thread.. So much traffic hear of late.. That is a tribute to the Rage boys..

Rick, this is great! It does look like a label for a product, but it also has the feel of a personalized bookplate. Whatever, you´ve done a fine job with this one (as always).

Interesting style. It looks almost like those more than 100 year old handcolored natural
history prints.

Like for example this image: http://www.bertuchprints.com/DBDW5/1846/DBDW_1846_038.jpg

Regards.

Yes, Rick.....we'all like it!!! This is such a unique and interesting piece. The more you look at it, the more intrigued you become with it! May I ask what medium or tools you used for this Rick? It's just so wonderfully done!

I like it too. Always like to see your fine and dedicated work on the details. Just like this one, great textures on the olives. :)
