This was done for a girlfriend, who is a big Adam Lambert fan. I didn't do the Goth look he is currently doing, I chose a look that is sort of an Elvis influenced look. I always see a touch of Elvis in his face. From scratch, one layer. This took some time because I am experimenting so much with the airbrush. (I had to redo areas more than once)

I think you've captured this young man very well, including his studied decadence.

This is a wonderful portrait of Adam! Your use of the airbrush tool is really a nice touch to this. Very nice job, Skylar!

I really like Adam and believe he's a really talented singer but I can't say too much about his "newest" image - too much makeup for a man for my taste....!!!

Beautiful portrait Skylar.

You might use a little chalk with very light pressure to give those airbrush areas a little of the texture found in other areas. It would take away the smeary look of those airbrush areas... like around the eyes. Another solution might be add some paper texture. A little less black and more toward color in the shadows...(more subtle) even though it is goth look. Just nit picking really because it is a finely drawn portrait. Just could go a touch further.

Doc - He does manifest a type of decadence, but I think it's probably just posturing.
Coops, Saddy - Thanks so much.
Evart - I'm still playing with the airbrush tool, but find it amazingly similar to the real thing.
GZ- Thanks so much for the suggestions, but this is what it is. I don't feel a need to tweak it.

LOL. That's why I used the word "studied". I recall a period in my youth when I strived to shock and annoy the Orthos. Took me a bit to figure out that such behavior is self-defeating. :o

Byron, Jean, Val - Thanks so much. Jean - He was runner-up on Am Idol last season - He is very Goth, something I didn't play up.
