Inspired from the caribbean sea, especially Salinas, PR. Spend a lot of time there observing the sea.

What an incredible painting, Tony...beautiful and so realistic! It has that dimensional look to it due to the beautiful flowers in the foreground.

This brings back good memories. Ever more so as I look out my window to see snow. I really like the glare on the water and how it diffuses around the gulls. I find myself looking hard at the leaf/frog in the center. I think it's a leaf of the plant above it, but it also looks like a well camouflaged frog. The quandary has started a few conversations around here. Thanks for sharing.

Wow! Thanks for all your gracious comments, AR3 SP, this is an amazing program! The " well camouflaged frog ", an after thought that just used to be a leaf! The grass stickers on AR3 are really cool to work with and still learning. The ref pic has a story: I was hired to play in Salinas and the owner purchased one of my paintings and during a break ( he hired 2 music groups ) I was taking pics of his backyard, the caribbean sea, and it looked like the painting he purchased and the basis for this one.
