View Full Version : Filling without aliasing effekts

Hi all,
while i created my first escher like painting i wonder how to fill closed
strokes with the fill tool without having a thin gray looking line at the
borders:

But now i figure it out. :)
At this point it's import to know a shape is consisting of two parts:
The outline done with a thin line (ink pen e.g.) and the shape inside
this outline (filled with some color). To create an escher like painting
(more tutorials will follow;) ) i need a stencil from the shape inside the
outline.
The Spread setting from the fill tool must have a high value to fill the ouline
complete and antialiased.

In the mean time i discovered that it is possible to fill an
inverted stencil can be done without creating a new layer.
Before filling i moved the stencil to a place without any color.
But...
before i found that easy solution my attempts of filling a stencil
that way resulted in a whole filled canvas (current layer).
