Tried a watercolor loosely following an exercise in a book to see how well I could duplicate it and added a little bit of my own touch. Still trying to get my head around watercolors. Let me know what you think. Enjoy.

Looks like you've got you're head around it just about right - and proven to me it CAN be done, because I've given up on every water color I've tried

Would make a really neet postcard, for all the snowy weather we've been having all over the globe :D except for where I'm at, but it's cold tho :)

337_lee- -Still trying, seems to me to take more effort (at this time) with digital tools to get the same result as regular watercolors, but still get there!:D
Evart- -Yeah everyone else is having cold, not us. This is the only snow I get.:)
coops- -Thanks, always better to be warm inside than out in it.
saddy- -Thanks, still working on my techniques, but getting close I think.
Bumble- -Brrr...stay warm inside with AR3:)
Alexandra- -Everyone else is getting snow, I'm jealous.
Dany51- -Thanks for the kind compliment.
mannafig- -Thanks, looking forward to doing more now...stuck at work though.:(

Thank you all for sharing your kind comments. It's very humbling.

Thank you Peter, Byron, and Justin. As I said earlier, I am truly humbled that you liked my little painting. It gets me excited to continue these watercolor studies and branch out even more. Thanks again!

Thanks Eileen and Valerie! Rediscovering what I had lost for so long, and really having fun. Thanks for the compliments.

Well, I hope you don't mind another. Really trying to practice and get more familiar with the tools. Same topic, a little different, trying new things. Let me know what you think. Enjoy.

The first image looked too light to me to actually see some of the details, especially in the closer tree, so I did some color corrections to it. Opinions?

I love that last version. So impressive. But the previous highvalue versions are also catchy. This is the first I've seen where the new powers of AR3 really stands out. Great work!
