Wow, julie, beautiful painting. Like the textures and those mini snowflakes on the tree. And, very fine work on the bird. Great piece. :)

Very cool ( cold?) Julie, this bird should have cleared out for warmer climes by now, so put out some seed for him! Well done!

Maybe the cardinal can grant you a dispensation to end the winter.

Julie, sorry you are having so much snow and cold weather, but I must say I love cardinals and their beautiful red color against a snowy background. You have captured it wonderfully.

Very well done JD! Clean and sharp. I agree, this would make an excellent greeting card! Cardinals are one of my favorites but I don't think we have them in Colorado (I've never seen one at least).

Thank everyone very much. I DO love this new program. And now with the holidays over, I'll have lots more time to practice with it.

And if anyone would like some of this snow......I'll send it Fedex....... LOL

Ohhhhh and Rob, I have 11 birdseed feeders around the yard.... that's why I'm blessed with so many of my own reference pics. This bird was originally perched on the side of one of the ground feeders in my ref pic.....I plucked him out and put him in the tree.

Thanks again....hugggs, juliediane

Oh, JulieDiane....it's just gorgeous! How I love those cardinals! We have quite a few always flying around here and I can never get enough of them. So glad to see you back here in the forum....it's been awhile!

Oh, BTW....you can just keep your snow there in KS....we're doing fine here in St. Louis with just getting an inch or so the last few weeks but we've got that bitterly cold......brrrr....!
