View Full Version : Summer Garden on a Page

For a project I've got on the burner....half the graphics are based on photos from my garden and half are based on images from Wikicommons....
it's a graphical hodgepodge created with theGimp, Artrage 2.5 and Artrage 3.
The composition seemed a bit empty and then I thought to add the weeds in the background....now it looks both more familiar and more realistic....

Beautifully done Foxy!

Such a nice literary feeling to this Foxy. I want to sit in the shade with a book and listen absently to the sound of bees harvesting and breezes giving them challenge.

Lovely Leah - just as it is - make me curious what additional magic you've got in mind for it. :):)

With the world outside cold and wintery, I love your paintings remembrance of warm days with flowers and bees out in the garden, it seems a long ago dream that flowers bloomed and bees were buzzing!

Robert, Alexandra, Fashmir, Byron, Rob, Billbonds, Eileen and Sandy, thank you very much for your good words.
I'm especially pleased that it made a few of you feel bookish, because I was aiming in a general way for the feeling of illustrated botanicals...

Byron, I'll let you know more about the project when I know more........!
