I have played around with Artrage for a while now, but this is the first painting I have completed.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments. I tried really hard to get the texture right.

As for the tree, it sits outside the window I usually sit by at my college's student center. I really liked the shape of it and so one day I decided I had to paint it. :lol:

Hi pmabry7,

I relly like it. In a way, it's reminiscent of some of the stylizations I've seen of WPA era art (USA 1930s), where the land was getting ordered and peacable.

The color is very appealing - warm. And the sweep of the tree limbs is gentle and inviting.

I decided to use the glitter tool to add some leaves and some fall trees in the background. The glitter tool works very good for leaves

Look at how the scale of the trunk changes with those leaves being so small.

Wow. The tree looks huge. I love it. Nice fall color scheme. Reminiscent of tha animated movie 'Iron Giant'.
