Amazing :eek::)
Some of these remind me of woodcuts.. this is a wonderful style. The voodoo man is incredible.

I agree that you've indeed mastered the ink tool... you better start writing your tutorials or at least brace yourself for the questions :D

ArtRage3 will be a new standard tool for comic makers. One that does not cost an arm and a leg. The ink tool is a stunner.

Your work is excellent , PV.;)

PV - these are downright masterful illustrations. I'm with Albert - you've mastered the tool, and certainly mastered your style. Beautiful work - and instructive for any artist to study. :):):)

I've been coming back in this thread all day long to see the pretty pictures. :)

Just pure delight to look at these ink works and all the other pictures in other threads made with AR3 by these awesome artists.

First I was dying to get the watercolour feature, then the stickers, then the pencil and now inks. I bet the first day after release the servers will crash a number of times because everyone in the world is downloading like no tomorrow. :)

Thank you, you are all too kind. The inking tool in AR3 is a blast to use. Doing these illustrations in AR3 were nothing but pure joy.

And the inking tools is only a small part of what AR3 will bring to the digital illustrator/artist.

Hey,..that ink pen looks fantastic and your work is VERY NICE!!!

I'm left with one question though...I like to work with a more variable line width based on pressure. Your line work looks more uniform. Can you get a variable width line with that ink pen tool?

The ink pen supports pressure adjusting the width of the stroke, so you can do very expressive strokes.
It also supports changing the aspect of the pen nib for calligraphy-style strokes.
And the adjustable auto-smoothing affects the stroke width as well as the stroke path, so every stroke can look crisp, clean, and professional.

It's nice to see your black and white ink drawings again, PV. These are great stuffs. I can see how these ink/watercolor/wetblender effect in here. Very fluid flow strokes to my eyes. I really want to try this ink tool.:)

i'll just add a bit on what Andy said.

While my main line tool doesn't show it very much, it does have some width difference. I just downplayed it quite a bit on purpose in the settings to make the line look less brush like.

The fill brush I use however, can go from very small to very big, which allows me to precise work with both brush, but also cover big areas really fast if I need it. Both brushes uses the new smoothing feature which really is a powerfull feature.

And the adjustable auto-smoothing affects the stroke width as well as the stroke path, so every stroke can look crisp, clean, and professional.

That's great news! I was gonna ask if you could still get a nice clean, tight line with the ink pen (currently I have to use the pen tool to do comic style outlines), but Andy appears to have answered that!

Definetely a tool to be tested, this ink pen, but certainly it's hard to get similar valuable pieces without Your mastery!

Well, I sure do like it. You are so masterful with this style. Yes, this one is a bit "gentler" - you've put the approach to great affect. Beautiful really. :):):):)

One new image. His name is Kojabas and is some sort of puppeteer.

This one was inked at extreme resolution without AA turned on. Have never tried that before, but I like working like that. Should make coloring alot easier also.

Hope you like.
