View Full Version : Frames

Hi all,

I've been playing around with the idea of frames again.

I used this one to frame a photo of my youngest daughter, Carmen, taken on her 11th birthday in June this year.

My idea is to make a few themed frames for use in AR.

Dear Yvan, what a wonderful idea, am sure some of us will pick it up, the frame is beautiful around your beautiful daughter, she looks French like the lovely actress Leslie Caron, am guessing you used the stencils around the frame but your imagination made them pretty, good job! think you can put this in the main Gallery maybe?:)

Hi Lee,

Thanks for the reply.

I did not want to post this in the main gallery because it does not strictly speaking represent and AR painting. I made the frame and a "mask" in ZBrush and used the exported grayscale renders as jpg's to use as a stencils.

Similar to what I've discussed here:

I am trying to refine the process a bit and find the best workable method to use the frame stencils in AR. Hopefully I can upload a few of the stencils again.

Also, thank you for your kind comments about my daughter. She is a little angel (most of the time...):D

Here's another idea for a frame I've been playing around with.

I was trying to go for more of an "industrial" look here.:)

Thanks Rose,

Glad you like it.

I will try and post a few new frames soon, maybe with a little tutorial of how to use them in AR.

As pointed out above, I basically make the frames using another program (Zbrush) and then import the grayscale rendered images (as stencils) into AR, together with an alpha image (to add more depth) and a flat colour image (as a mask) and then paint the textures in AR.

In the meantime have a look at the links and download the previous ones I uploaded. The download links should still be active.
