View Full Version : Painting Trees - My Experience

07-10-2009, 04:25 AM
Iíve painted the tress, every step I save an image. At the end I have 18 images. I used three layers, begin painted with foreground at layer three, and then back to the background at the first layer. Step by step sketch and colored it.
I hope I can share my idea here. Thanks

Great Tut, now you went from one image with the water painted with the same style as the tree, then in the next image it was all glassy and watery looking and um finished. How did you achieve the water look, with a pallet knife ?

Would you mind explaining a little, as i believe the water really sets the painting off in my opinion :)

Wonderful to show your technique Khalid. Thank you for teaching. I have trouble by the first time you add color. It goes to show that it still requires the touch of a genius, I think. :)

Khalid, I'm new to painting and ArtRage and find your tutorials and paintings absolutely fantastic! I understand your process with the three layers - Sketch, Background, and Detail/Foreground. Your color selection and technique, especially the water, is magical!
