Macro of a saxaphone. Learned alot about stencils, and some about layers doing this.

Interesting view of the sax! It creates an almost abstract quality! Great first effort with AR! Looking forward to seeing some more soon!

Welcome! That's a great painting, however many long-past memories of practicing the saxophone it brings in me :-)

Welcome, Stewynofly! What a great start with ArtRage! Beautiful abstract painting and how I love the sound of a saxophone....

Do you play saxophone?
This has a pleasing contemporary and urban feel to it. Welcome to the forums!

Thank you everyone for such a warm welcome.

foxytocin - I do not play sax but my son did in high school. I always wanted to paint this in watercolors but never got around to it (does anyone have a round toit?)
As far as the contemporary and urban feel, I thought so too, in fact the way it turned out reminds me of "poster" art.

irishrose - what tools did I use? mostly airbrush and palette knife, sometimes the felt tip set real narrow and light pressure to follow a stencil in ruler mode to draw a line. And I have been a watercolor painter for several years, just not a very good one.

Although I dabble with vector graphics to make web graphics and company logos, etc..., I love the idea of painting on the computer.
It feels more like actually painting.

Unfortunately, I can get lost in the process for hours.

What a marvel! It could well be a gorgeous abstract or cubist art!
