MOARA means MUSEUM OF ARTRAGEOUS ART. This name was coined by Byron Callas to designate this thread.

The first name of this thread was ARTGALLERY. With time it has changed to "MOARA: always opened". At the present time it is called either MOARA (Byron Callas) or MOARA - AN OPEN APPRECIATION OF TALENT (Robert Wade) or still MOARA FOREVER (Coops)

MOARA presents a synthesis of the art works produced by brilliant artists of the digital painting world.

The following artists contributed, up to now, posting galleries or other images in the MOARA: CAESAR, COOPS, GZAIRBORNE, JOHN BLACKFORD, JUZ, LEE, ORIANE LIMA, ROBERT WADE, SABENA and WANT2PAINT.

Looks very cool. Levent did a gallery of his works also that was very cool. Who knows some day we may have a virtual gallery you walk into. That would be kind of a cool place to have in the virtual reality world. What is that place called... Second Life where they have shops and stuff in digital reality. :)

This is wonderful Oraine - terrifically well painted. It dazzels and shimmers. And it's a mighty fine tribute.
A little side note - thanks for sticking me in there - gave me a big smile.
Your work is just great.

Oriane, this ROCKS! I don't know how you did it, but like Albert said, it reminds me of the program Second Life. A friend of mine told me about it, I downloaded it and since any kind of 3-D motion makes me feel ill, I couldn't do it, but she sent me screen shots of the gallery she did there (she is an artist too) and it was just like this!!! I love how you put in the reflections and feel so honored to have been included :) Hugs from America to Rio!

Lee's Room at ARt GALLERY

orianelima,
This is amazingly beautiful. You have artfully created a stately, quiet
and reflective gallery ambience to this scene and presented Lee's lovely
paintings as the main attraction to this exclusive, private viewing. The
way you have showcased Lee's works of art are really stunning. I can
imagine how flattered she will be when she sees the care and attention
that you have taken with this. Masterfully well done! :)

Oriane, that is WILD AND WONDERFUL and I'm honored. You're a prince.

I love what you did with and then how you integrated that old black and white photograph. You're a genius.

I'm a bit blown away and repeat I am honored.

Would you please do me a great favor? Can you e-mail me a high-res file of the painting? I'd love to have, and my wife Rosy will go bonkers for it. She'll want to use your wall design to paint our bedroom I'm sure. She's even more a nut for wild color and form than me.

You're a great guy Oriane. I love the painting and the care and enthusiasm you put into it. Know that your warm, thoughtful and remarkably creative gesture is greatly appreciated. :)

All the best, Byron

The La Tour copy on the right is now on the wall of a convent .
I'm there once, Daughter is there once, Granddaughter twice. Plus an unknown stooping bridesmaid. Which leaves an unknown man sewing riding breeches and a commissioned portrait of a lady fom Buckinghamshire. Painted 28 pounds lighter, (13Kg), and an intrusive freckle omitted. :)

This thread is such a great attraction with this sort of joint exhibition connected by Your "architectular" ideas perfectly fitting the authors! An art in itself too!
This will certainly be a permanent traditional thread to visit for me and most of the others I believe, which may last forever and condensate so much what a common and unique tool as Artrage may sing and play, in the most various and delightful ways, from the different voices and sounds of the artists using it.
You succeeded to produce the most successful visual jam session, mixing of genres, chorus in a sort of of collective Artrage Symphony!

To say thank you properly...

Ori's Master Palette

I downloaded every picture in ori's gallery to batch out a master palette. This palette is, put simply, the 64 most frequently used colours across all of Ori's gallery works. I like to think of it as 'the colours of ori' :):D

On my image you'll notice a couple of values highlighted... these were out of cymk gamut and therefore could not be produced in printers inks. I've knocked these values back in the .col file to the nearest printable colour, so that every colour in the .col palette is printable. :)

I love the quite special gallery of Jus and that of our dear host Orianelima as selected by Gzairborne!:)

This gallery made me think of a sort of side idea, that is, to oper a thread where, for each one of the exhibiting artists, each of the other mates should select what they evaluate to be the three top works from the relevant personal gallery. (either the most beautiful or the most indicative of a personal style)

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT? GENERALLY QUITE AN HARD CHOICE!

This thread continues to amaze and delight.

Wonderful contribution Juz. Thanks for that.

Albert, your tribute to the ThreadMeister is stunning and completely deserved. I think it was you, Albert, who mentioned Second Life ... yes, I think it would be entirely possible to set something like this up there. I've only been there once or twice so it would take someone with more savvy there than I have, but what a wonderful idea it is ... and it would also be a great way to do some advertising/promotion for the ArtRage team, community, and program. We "old timers" (and I count myself as one after two years) have all experienced how the influx of "newcomers" continually infuses the community with new energy, approaches, techniques, attitudes, etc. Just to name a couple of examples: Sabena with her carefree yet studied approach and Weembaman with his ever evolving "Puddy" series that delights us all while we watch his technique evolve impressively.

screenpainter
07-10-2009, 10:29 AM
Caesar you have a great idea there...! With Oriane it was almost impossible to get down to even 7 paintings because there are so many works and all are so good. Very hard. So I tried to select paintings from the more jazz like style, but there are many others I could have chosen.

I would imagine the same was true for Oriane of your work and gallery... trying to select a few out of the many great ones is very very hard to do.

Robert, an art gallery in Second Life that featured art rage artists... a great idea. That would be good for advertising for sure I would think.
tnx Rose and everyone for response. Now we await with anxious breath the next artist showing at the gallery. :)

Dear Oriane, again you have created galleries that are stunning. Rose's gallery is fresh, relaxing and super just like Rose.:)
Chilli's is awash with colour and is superb.
Congratulation to Rose and Chillis these are well deserved.
Thanks Oriane for your never tiring work painting these galleries as we all look forward to seeing them and enjoying them.:)

I am posting Rose's Room and Chilli's Emotion Thread's Room.:)

Thank you Oriane... I LOVE IT! The only painting I cannot take credit for is the first one, it is a REAL Joan Miro painting and was used to talk about him as a reference when I did the circles :) I should have told you, my fault!!! But BEAUTIFUL!!! I love how you used my stencil art for the floor! Awesome, and I love Pink! :) Hugs xoxo

Rose, no problems. For instance: in Robert's gallery there is just one painting in the same situation, sheltered behind one Robert's painting. Your gallery is gourgeous. Let's look the other side:).

Oh, Oriane, you are too sweet! I just didn't feel worthy to be put in the same category as a painter such as Miro! Wow, you did a second side!!! I do love it so!!! I wish I had the time to paint these days like I did last year. So much more has happened this year and not allowing me the time I need, so I comment more than DO! I know, I need to get moving, some motivation! You are the master of gallery art! xoxox Hugs again, always!

In Robert's Wade gallery there is just one painting in the same situation, sheltered behind one Robert's painting, i.e. In purpose I wanted to immerse a painting of the great Cézanne, father of us all, in Robert's gallery. I could not find the correct place than I put it behind Wade's ocean master piece, just by the window.

I wondered about that one ... it didn't seem familiar.
Found it. "View of the Bay of Marseilles"
My "room" continues to fascinate me. I have it as my desktop. :)

Oriane, glad that I'm not the only one.. hey, it's good to have a painting from a well known famous artist in our galleries anyway, makes it more genuine. I don't feel so alone! ;)

And Robert, ME TOO!!! I have my second room as my desktop! :) Thanks again Oriane!

Perfect ending Oriane... definitely had to get Khalid in there.. he does have the best landscapes... and how nice of you to think of those who have only been here for a short time.. yes, maybe they will come back :) We'd have to make this thread into a sticky!!!! That way they can see it! ;)

You're incredible.. what a huge amount of time and effort went into this very special project. Thank you, thank you! xoxo

Oriane, the new additions are great. They seem to just get better and better. Wonderful to include the rare but great postings, and Khalid's masterpieces (seems like everything he touches is a masterpiece) are a great new contribution to the ever expanding MOARA. Love 'em. :)

Oriane this thread has delighted us for weeks. Thank you so much for your efforts and the time you dedicated. I'm sure by now after spending so much time with everyone else's creative works that you yourself have the painting itch to pursue.

Oriane, I gather you're putting this thread to bed??? It's been a great one - a wonderful contribution to everyone in the forum. It's full of such great work, your outstanding artistry showcasing everyone's outstanding artistry. Thanks for all the enjoyment you have given to all of us and your generosity and enthusiastic spirit. Maybe from time to time others may post tributes to their favorite artists and the MOARA will take on a life of its own? You've built its structure, populated its original galleries, and given everyone keys to the door. Somehow I don't think the doors are closed, it will remain open for new collections and visitors to enjoy for a long time to come. :)

Dear friends I am changing the name of this thread to “Always Open: Museum of ArtRageous Art (MOARA)”. For a while I posted galleries displaying the master pieces of great ArtRage artists. Thank you all very much. I strongly encourage young artists to add “self galleries” ,i.e. post a gallery displaying your own paintings. This is a nice space for you to do that. From time to time I might add a new gallery too.

John Blackford I would like thanking once more for the beautiful tribute that you paid me. Today it is a special Sunday. Early in the morning I turned on my hp and saw the administrator observing beautiful paintings. I drank a great cup of coffee and my telephone rang. It was Foxy, wow!!! I went out for a walk and I saw that building and decided to walk in. For my surprise I saw that the ArtRage was dominating the environment.

After some time I decided to return for my house … first saw Jonh’s painting than I saw Sketch reading an updating of the ArtRage. The night it was falling with some magic exhibition of colors. So that I approached my house there I saw the poster of the exhibition of Jules.

Again, marvelous work and I think you've gone above and beyond the call of duty.. and given motivation for others to do the same with their own galleries... it's a great jump start and you should be very proud of your work. It's a masterpiece in itself!

Oriane, I've seen some of those effects you posted but don't remember the name of the website, but another fun one is www.photofunia.com and it's really neat. :) *do they say 'neat' anymore??' ;)

Lovely job Oriane!!

An absolutely incredible thread, one for which Artragers will be forever in your artistic debt. An added personal plus to this particular museum is that there is never a problem finding parking spaces; I run into that periodically at Milwaukee's Art Museum (the beautiful Calatrava).

Kudos. Bravo. Applause...

Another fun program to use is www.loonapix.com :) I like Photofunia better, but you can get great effects with loonapix. Also, for card sending, there is an animated program called JibJab (I think it's www.jibjab.com) and you can send to others by pasting your face on pictures. It's just a lot of fun! :)

Lima

Rose, I used loonapix. That was the fastest way I found to transmit what I was thinking about this software and of all the bright and talented artists.

As I said, this thread is open to the young fellows to post their art.

JB thank's for the comment. I also have this problem when I go to MAC. Milwaukee's Art Museum....wow:eek::eek::eek: beautiful sir.

Oriane,

Woo hoo, I picked the right one! I know there are lots of fun programs, but I thought that was a good one, and photofunia is really for just straight photo shots....

If you like animated videos for FUN, try www.jibjab.com :)

And yes, I agree with you, everyone should give it a try! :)
