Though I'dd show off a bit
I wanted to post something that shows how I work,so you can all take advantage of it.
If I can keep remembering ,I will try to post some more as it progesses.
But sometimes I get carried away, and do it all at once.....

The inset shows the settings of the crayon tool.

It will be a very nice work when finished.

Resembles him in that uncanny distorted way of the charicature. Always amusing to see a good one.

Most interesting to see your process. Will doubtless be invaluable to aspiring caricaturists. Solid illustration skills are being used to make this distortion convincing.

Very generous of you to have posted this work in progress. Please keep them coming.

whoaaaa great....

nothing more to tell

OK, I'll say no more.....

Now I'm doing the teeth.Starting with a middle tone of the yelowwish color.
then adding the darker edges, and the lighter tones, giving the shine.all very gradually, and carefully. (CTRL +Z is my best friend...)

The drawing begins to take twice as long as before..And the wrinkles and folds are yet to be done...EEEK !

Any suggestions on the boring background? Must be done before the final contours and the hair...

Couldn't help going on like a madman (normal routine over here... 8) )

I did most of the face, I have still the forehead to do and the hair,by then I will be sick and tired of it

Things will need to be touched up, like the cheek on the lower right (our right), and the left side cheek that's a bit too big and too dark compared to the other.....just don't like to do it now....

wonderful progression and wonderful painting! :D

This is great Hanzz. I like seeing the progression. He's looking a bit like Ronald Regan to me.

Yes, I had that feeling all along...
I'll google him later today to compare
Biggest difference : the one got his messages to self-destruct, the other simply forgot them....

hahaha yes you're right, with some doodling I can get a second caricature for almost no effort.....
two for the price of one....

Wow Hanzz   Thats brilliant 8)

Great to get a look at your process steps to :)

Was the pencil work done in ArtRage or with a pencil and paper?

I'm off to look at your forum now 8)

This one was a scan from a pencildrawing, the starwars drawing was intirely in AR2.

Hanzz........This guy is almost as pretty as you .....but not quite...Jack.

08-28-2006, 01:42 AM
I always knew about my beauty, Jack. I just don't brag about it....

Here's the final pass in ArtRage2. I am not happy at all with the hair, I will take it to ArtWeaver to get it right. I'm more used to that program, especially the possibility to change the brushtip is a feature I miss here. :?

Other than that, ArtRage2 is an awesome program :)

Double Wow for you Hanzz,

It's wonderful.. I like it very much..
