Hereīs the latest. Itīs based on another vintage pic of Ushuaia. At least thereīs no snow in the city. Weīre looking east from the (then) west end of town.

Thanks to all who commented in the WIP section! Your kind words got me going on this one.

(All AR: basic canvas, oils.)

Really great painting Scott. So much detail in here. Love the mood of this little village by the sea. Very calm feel. The mountains and the warm colorscheme add to that feel. Wonderful.

Excellent Painting..I love the old time feeling I get looking at this. I grew up in small town (in the 40"s) and all the pictures we have look like this..Love it...

Concuerdo con muchos de los comentarios anteriores. El tono ųnico (monocromātico), le da al paisaje una personalidad especial. Ademās, las pinceladas son geniales...
Muy bien hecho!

I agree with many of the previous comments. The unique tone (monochrome), gives the landscape a special personality. Additionally, brush strokes are great ...
Very well done!;););)

So much to look around at, and the limited color scheme absolutely made it.
Really amazing work!

To paraphrase Navin R. Johnson, "The new ScottF is here! The new ScottF is here!" lol
Another wonderful effort Scott. Once again you pitch us back to a seemingly simpler time with an image that captures that mood in tones that are at once nostalgic and lovingly preserved in an almost amber-like quality.

Wow, so realistic. Some people can't catch that on film, let alone do it with paint. Awesome job.
