I was actually planning on doing one of the Doctor, and of Rose Tyler, but somebody beat me to the Doctor. Anyway, here is my tribute to my favorite alien. David Tennant as The Doctor.

It's an amazing portrait with an unbelievable 3D effect. Fromsome distance You may believe that rather than a painting it's a wax statue!!

Thank you Scott, Caesar, and Fraser, it's funny really, the very first episode where he is the Doctor, I really didn't care for him much, but now I can't imagine the program without him...too bad someone else will be the Doctor soon. :( I saw a picture of the new one, and I already don't like him...On to Rose Tyler, or maybe Doctor Donna...

Yeah, fraser-paice. . . just look what you made her do. . .

Are they running Dr. Who in Texas? They used to run it on PBS decades back before cable.

Really spiffy portrait. I don't know the actor, but this really looks convincing, and it certainly is a fine painting.

For all those who don't know, Dr Who has been going since 1963 making it the longest running SF tv series in the world. Scary enough to have British kids hiding behind the sofa while it was on.. (yep me too). The Dr is an alien a Timelord who can travel in time and space, he has a fondness for humans that borders on the foolish. A rather neat plot line is that when his body is near death he will regenerate into a new one. Hence the line of Doctors.

David Tennant has taken the cult following to new hieghts inflamming the passions of the fairer sex and expanding the usual geeky male SF fan base into new territory... Don't believe me? read the comments on this link...http://www.flickr.com/photos/brandylee/110701852/ (http://uk.wrs.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0WTf2gj2ZFJDIgAU.JWBQx./SIG=125c7kqjr/EXP=1234381475/**http%3A//www.flickr.com/photos/brandylee/110701852/)

And here are the Doctors

Well done Fraser, well done! The 10th TimeLord is the coolest. Although I liked the 9th as well even though he was only a one season Doctor. For awhile my favorite was the Doctor Who with the long striped scarf (4th one?), until the 10th one came along. As far as being the LAST Timelord, one always seems to pop up somewhere. :D

That is some absolutely beautiful portrait painting. You have taken a huge leap lately in portraits with Aaron and this one... stunning... good.
I used to watch regularly in the 80's... dunno why I stopped. It is very funny.

As far as the new guy... "e's right cute too en e?"

Hey, I wanted to be a Time Lord, but couldn't afford the dime for the phone booth so I became a Spacey Artisan.

Well, isn't that the next best thing D'Akey? I think there are a lot of us Spacey Artisans in the group. :)

Anxiously awaiting that!
Yes, 'tis quite a bit outdated I'd say.
What an amazing progression. And this is all in artrage...
Please please... I am begging here. :)

Thanks Belvrog, I usually don't like doing clothes, but the layers made it easier.
