i like the focus,by darkening the background and the detail of the plant, its a goos still life.....im learning all the time on this forum :)

Very rich and vibrant. Lots of nice detail there, standing out brilliantly from a subtle backdrop. I like what you did with the roller in the background too.

The roller work is clear, but I am wondering what aspects were done with the knife.

Thanks to you all for your comments.
drzeller- I used the knife to soften the stuff in the background. I have found the knife useful on the dry media such as the pencil and chalk for smudging it up a bit.
