View Full Version : Meanwhile in the ammo room all seems quiet...

Following the scifi theme I started here:

... I came up with this.

Again, all the texturing was done in AR, using a basic grey render of a 3d model I made in another proggie.

I include the basic reference, a screenshot of a WIP and the final result. I had to scale down the final image for the forum, so it does not do justice to the original, but you get the idea.;)

As usual C & C's welcome:D.

You should work for some videogame industry, dear friend.
You're so endowed cooking up these sci-fi scenarios!!

Aaah yes, sigh...

I was born way to early for a job in the games industry. All the nice opportunities go to guys half (or a third:eek:) my age.

When I grew up, there was no such thing as computer games, not like the ones you see these days anyway.
Instead I became a lawyer, would you believe... Yes, yes I admit it, I AM A LAWYER! There, I said it, my secret is out. Hope they don't ban me from the forums for this...

Now I am just a hobbyist and play around with expensive(-ish) toys. Wouldn't it be cool though if someone offered me a job to do this all day:cool: Now that would the perfect job...

Thanks for the reply.

These images remind me so much of what my son does, he is in the
video game graphic's design industry and he would just love your
paintings and so do I. Well designed, painted and very cool sci fi flavor! :)

More great work, you could do your own shoot em up game, you've done the passage last time now this. Well done.

I really admire your imaginative use of the tools at your disposable and your sense of dark humor in how you use them. :)

Thanks Mairzie,
You have one lucky son!:) Glad you like the pic.

Thanks sandyg,
I always appreciate every reply. Thanks for taking the time to comment. Glad you like it.

Thanks Robert,
Yes, I have been accused of having a dark sense of humor before. Maybe its a occupational hazard (...post #3);). IMHO one should use all the tools at your disposal. Its a question of experimentation and trial & error. Again, as far as AR goes, it is by far the most intuitive and easy to use piece of software I've come across in a long time. I cannot wait to see what the AR 3 would be like! Appreciate your kind words, my friend.
